Basic system
The basic version of the System 520 comprises a base frame with slide-in electrical cabinet, conveyor belt, upper retaining band, operating panel, partial protective housing and two Pagomats 6/2 with swivel-mounted suspension brackets for front and back labelling.
All adjustment devices are equipped with digital position displays and scaled mandrels for reproducible setups.
Product separation and alignment equipment (optional)
Product alignment prior to transfer to the upper retaining band is vital for labelling accuracy when labelling shaped bottles, bottles with handles, oval containers and other packaging shapes.
System 520 is available in three types, A, B and C, each equipped with different function modules. This allows us to work on a customer-specific, performance-oriented and product-specific basis to create the machine that best suits the required range of applications.
Function A electro pneumatically registers the product and brings it into the exact labelling position. Easy-to-change alignment jaws are the only size parts required to this.
Function B offers higher speeds and even easier product changeover. Products are separated with a separator wheel and aligned using a chain centraliser. No size parts are required for this version.
Function C is designed to meet the highest performance requirements. The products are separated by means of an infeed scroll and continuously aligned with high precision along the longitudinal axis in the eccentric alignment station according to their shape and position. No tools are required to change the size parts (infeed scroll and centring jaws).
Wrap-around labelling (optional)
Function 65 with afteroll belt for high throughput
Labelling takes place continuously while the product is rotated via afteroll belt and the label is applied with uniform pressure to prevent wrinkles.
Since the afteroll belt and counter plate offer a broad range of adjustment by handwheel with digital displays, a wide variety of products can be labelled, including jars and pots. Furthermore, this system can be supplied with customer-specific afteroll belt, e.g. vacuum afteroll belt, to suit the customer’s particular requirements.
Function 88 with 3-roller system for high precision
The product to be labelled is axially aligned between three rollers and rotated. This prevents undesirable spiral effects. Labelling with a precise viewing gap, exact overlapping and even target labelling are all possible with this system.
The spring-loaded rollers and the versatile adjustment options guarantee accurate labelling results on a wide variety of packaging shapes.
Non-stop labelling without production stops for greater line efficiency (optional)
With this system upgrade, two additional Pagomats are integrated in the System 520CL. System 520CL has an extended base frame and Function C as a product alignment and separation station.
Front and back labelling is achieved by electronically-linked twin labelling machines. When the label reel end is reached or in the event of a fault (e.g. a tear in the backing paper), the twin Pagomat waiting on standby is moved into labelling position and activated. The out-of-service Pagomat is disengaged via the adjustment slide and can be restocked whilst in this standby position. The System 520 non-stop function therefore ensures continuous labelling without production stops.
