PAGOwin Next – the software for information management with labels

PAGOcomfort – software for stand-alone operation of label printing systems

Pagocomfort is an independent program ready-loaded in Pago label printers of the 10, 12, 15, 16 and 17 product lines and in Series 15 and 16 automatic labellers. This software enables:

• Stand-alone operation of these label printers
• Convenient connection of these label printing systems to a host computer

PAGOcomfort with database

With the enhanced “Pagocomfort + DB” software, label content data can also be saved on memory card (e.g. product, article and order databases).

PAGOcomfort for labelling containers and pallets

The “Pagocomfort + PAL” software was specially developed for manual labelling of containers and pallets. The program calculates the correct SSCC checksum number and offers other GS1128-specific functions.

PAGOterminal – networked printing and labelling

Pagoterminal is a solution for simple and convenient decentralised actuation (at the print system) of label printing using centrally stored data.
The software comprises two program parts: the server part and the client part. The Pagoterminal server software runs on the central PC while the Pagoterminal client software runs in any connected label printing system. Data input at the printer is achieved either via the printer keyboard or a barcode scanner which is connected to a second serial interface on the printer.
The label layouts created with Pagowin and saved in the print system determine whether further information, e.g. batch number, label quantity, etc., needs to be entered via the printer keyboard. A range of cabling options are available, including Ethernet, bus and star cabling. Pagoterminal is compatible with Pago’s Series 15 label printing systems.

PAGObatchprint – automatic detection of data interfaces

Pagobatchprint is the middleware between ERP (SAP, AX, etc.) and the marking and identification system and, once installed and configured, it requires no further user intervention. This software detects any data interface, including the special data interface to the host computer.

PAGOlineload – coordinated distribution of identification data to the production lines

The Pagolineload software coordinates the distribution of identification data to the production lines. Synchronised data output ensures order-based data is sent to the identification devices distributed along the production line at precisely the right time.

PAGOremote – remote operation via wireless devices

The Pagoremote software enables the user to tap into the marking and identification process at any point using a mobile, wireless device (e.g. mobile phone or PDA) and run status checks or troubleshooting support – without needing to be on-site!

PAGOkeys – remote operation via Ethernet

The PAGOkeys software enables central, remote control of installed tabletop label printers and labellers via Ethernet. From a central screen in the office, the user can access the keyboard and display of the label printer in remote production and manage the labelling process.

PAGO SAP R/3 – label printing with SAP R/3

The new SAP R/3 printer driver adds a further critical step to the Pagowin labelling software. Label layouts created with Pagowin can be stored in Pago label printers as well as Series 10, 12, 15 and 16 automatic labellers and printed together with variable data from an SAP database.

PAGO remote maintenance – global online service

Pago provides online support through its remote maintenance service. Via a modem link and with the help of intelligent remote maintenance software, our experts provide online assistance should you have any problems or questions. Wherever you are, you can obtain low-cost assistance with:

• Using the software application
• Analysing the PLC controls of our labelling systems
• Software version updates
  

This means you get fast and cost-effective assistance over long distances, even when production pressure is at its height.
Individual access rights can be defined to ensure our remote maintenance service also meets your security requirements.

Separation of label layout and data

Separation of layout and data forms the functional basis of Pago’s label printers. Together with the new printer driver, this produces numerous advantages. The variable data for labels can be prepared in a wide variety of SAP programs. Depending on the network, several devices, from the label printer to the automatic labeller, can be controlled and supplied with host data. Data management and label printing tasks can be clearly separated.

Convenient label printing

Thanks to the printer driver, Pago label printers are ready to print immediately upon connection. The only pre-requisite is a data selection and preparation program for finding and merging the label data. Various demo reports (ABAPs) enable fast and easy checking of printer connections and operability.

Fast, flexible and more economical

The printer driver reduces programming time by up to 10 working days and therefore offers huge cost savings. The driver enables simple handling, even for complex labelling procedures. It simplifies processes, avoids unnecessary duplications and therefore not only saves money, but also increases the speed and flexibility.
