Pago has provided a twin headed Barcode labeller with automatic banding system to create greater barcode labelling capacity for a pharmaceutical company.
The machine is an automatic banding system including a vision system linked to a rejection station, a rotary feeder with powered in feed magazine, an ultrasonic banding machine with a soft tension control system and a double out feed conveyor, to enable insertion of check weigh unit if required. In addition the labeller incorporates the latest PAGOmat 6/2-A-100 labelling units with supports to position the PAGOmat to match the product. The labelling machine will operate 5 labels applied per labelling unit, working in a auto switching mode. The labelling units will switch operation when the label reel is exhausted or the labelling unit errors, enabling continuous operation. Machine speed can be set to suit the line speed, and varied between products if required.
The 2 labelling units applying 5 labels to each ribbon, includes an up rated blower, modified vacuum chamber, low air sensor, and diamond tear notch laser sensors.
The stainless steel framework supports the conveyor with a twin belt vacuum conveyor to control and hold the foils during accurate labelling. The machine comprises a stainless steel body constructed with stainless steel end plates and covers . over a chassis supporting an aluminium top plate. Enclosed within the body is the main drive unit, with all connecting drives by high quality timing belts. Amply rated bearings, bushes and fixtures are specified throughout. a twin belt vacuum conveyor, which controls and holds the foils firm during the labelling process. A belt conveyor, ensuring a smooth running product transport contributes to accurate labelling.
Concertina doors to front and rear allow access to the PAGOmats for label replenishing and machine control, the noise reduction enclosure reducing operator exposure.
